Week7, The Nietchez Channel
I must say that this is a long article and kind of difficult tounderstand. I found myself jumping back and forth trying to figureout what the author was trying to get across to the reader. Thereare so many quotes that it would be difficult to write about all ofthem, but the quote that stood out the most was in part4 stanza 169.It states "To talk about oneself a great deal can also be a means ofconcealing oneself." The way I interpret this quote is that one whotalks too much about themselves is a person who requires help andguidance in order to find themselves. For example, I have a friendwho is constantly talking about herself and feels that the world onlyrevolves around her, but for some reason I always feel like somethingis bothering her, but the only problem is that she does not know howto approach her dilemmas. In order for people not to notice herpersonal problems, she ignores her reality and focuses on talkingabout herself, but in reality it is a scream for help. I know whatthe problem is, but it is up to her to realize that she is the onlyone who can resolve her personal issues. I can lend her a shoulderand maybe some advice, but it's up to her to determine what is rightor wrong. Overall, I think Nietzsche points out many issues thathuman beings encounter, regardless if they are about religion, philosophy or personal matters.
